Frequently asked questions
Cost, privacy, refunds, aftercare. If your question is not here, ask us.
What does MedAmia do?
We help patients from other countries get treatment in India. We match your case to suitable hospitals and doctors, put together one itemised package, and look after your travel, stay and aftercare.
Does it cost anything to start?
No. Sending your case and getting a shortlist is free. You only pay when you accept a package, and the quote shows exactly what it includes before you do.
How do you choose hospitals?
Hospitals and doctors are checked and empanelled by our team, with their accreditation and licences on record. A clinical reviewer then matches them to your case, and we explain why each one is on your list.
Who sees my medical records?
Hospitals first receive a de-identified summary, with no name or contact details, so they can quote. Your records and identity are shared only after you choose a hospital.
How do I pay, and is there a refund?
You pay MedAmia, never several vendors. A small advance confirms your booking, and the balance is due at admission. Every quote states its refund policy (full, partial or none) before you pay.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Nobody honestly can. We promise a careful match, honest information and support throughout. Your treating doctor decides your treatment.
Can someone travel with me?
Yes. A companion can be added to your itinerary and package, with their own stay and travel arrangements.
What happens after treatment?
You get an aftercare plan. If you need it, we arrange a home-care nurse or a recovery centre, and your coordinator stays in touch.
Which languages do you support?
The patient app is available in several languages. This website is in English for now, with more languages planned.
Is MedAmia a hospital or a doctor?
No. We are a coordination service. Medical advice and treatment come from the doctors and hospitals you choose.
Still have a question?
Send it to us and we will reply within one working day, or start your intake and ask your coordinator.
